Join us in welcoming our new 7-12 principal for the 2019-2020 school year. Julie Adams began her new position on July 1, 2019. The position was previously held by Interim Principal, David Eagle. Ms. Adams was appointed to the position at the June 19, 2019 board meeting.

Adams previously held the position of Jr./Sr. High School Principal at the Hoosic Valley Central School District. Prior to that, she was the Assistant Principal at Gloversville Middle School. Adams has also worked as a math teacher at Ballston Spa High School, Waterford-Halfmoon Jr./Sr. High School, and Scotia-Glenville High School.

“Ms. Adams has experience working in well-established districts in the area and that makes us confident that she will be an excellent addition to our district, ” said District Superintendent, David Glover.

Adams earned her Bachelor of Science at the University at Albany, Master of Science at Sage Graduate School, and Certificate of Advanced Study in Educational Leadership, with a focus in School Building Leadership and School District Leadership at The College of Saint Rose.

During her time at Salem High School, she plans to ensure a school culture that fosters the educational development of each student and establish strong, meaningful relationships with all members of the school community.

Glover added, “We were grateful to have Mr. Eagle’s leadership for our staff and students during a transitional time and look forward to working with Ms. Adams.”
